Sam Gardian, owner of Southern Smoke BBQ and Brewhouse in Old Town Newall was found guilty of battery charges in a Santa Clarita Courtroom today, the Santa Clarita Signal is reporting.

Gardian was accused of committing two acts of “simple” battery and two acts of sexual battery against a former employee in April of 2016.  The jury found Gardian guilty on all four counts, each a misdemeanor according to the Signal.

Sentencing is scheduled for Monday and Gardian could face up to 2 years in jail and $8000 in fines. Updated 3/27: Gardian was sentenced to 90 days in jail and ordered to undergo counseling and stay away from the victim, according to The Signal.
