The third time could be a charm. Solita Tacos and Margaritas, the little sister restaurant to Newport Beach’s acclaimed Sol restaurant, opens their second location this Tuesday, November 18th at the Patios at Valencia Town Center, taking over the space that was previously held by El Caballero and Cabo Cantina.

We were lucky enough to get just a taste at a preview this week and so far things look promising.

We’ll have a full writeup once they open the doors, but until then, you’re just going to have to experience their wood fired grill, extensive tequila selections (the skinny margarita is the real deal, I’ll say that much, and that’s not because it’s “diet”) and their queso al forno for yourself.
