After yesterday’s sad news about Big Wangs closing on Old Road, an SCV Foodie tipped us off that Big Mouth Pizza on Newhall Ranch Road has closed as well. A hand written note on the door informed patrons of the closure. A call to the Acton store (which remains open) confirmed the location closed last week.
Big Mouth Pizza Co. had two locations in Santa Clarita previously. The other closing last year in the space now occupied by MJ’s Tap House Grill.
Known for being a no-frills pizza place, Big Mouth was known for offering some of the largest pizzas available in Santa Clarita, and their “monster truck,” off-road golf cart, and limousine delivery vehicles (which may or may never have delivered, but they looked good in the parking lot).
This location on Newhall Ranch is in an area that has seen much change over the last few years with relative newcomers Shredded Taco, Poke to Me and a second location of Eat Real Cafe having opened in place of Tri Tipps, Milkshake Mania and Kokolita’s Cupcakes, respectively. Kokolita’s has relocated to other locations in the SCV while others closed altogether.
