Kokolita’s Cakes is making a prominent jump in location and will be opening a location adjacent to Town Center Drive this spring.  Martha Aguilera, “Kokolita” herself as some know her, announced on Facebook this morning that the grand opening will be May 19, with a soft opening to come sooner.  The new location will be taking over the space currently held by Bake You Happy, near the Edwards Theaters, Chipotle and Salt Creek Grille.

Kokolita’s is one of many of Santa Clarita’s Cupcake Bakeries.  Previously occupying a space on Newhall Ranch road, they moved to Placerita Canyon last year.  The new location will be a second store according to Aguilera.  

Kokolita, featuring a throwback theme to the 50’s features many nostalgia-based flavors including “Loving Lucy” inspired by Lucille Ball, somewhat of an inspiration for Aguilera, and “Mr. President” inspired by none other than Marilyn Monroe.

In addition to Cupcakes, Kokolita’s features well known empanadas which have been highly sought after and a favorite among many in the Santa Clarita Valley.
