Foodie Fest 2014 is just about a week away. So here’s what you need to know:
Where are we going?
The Tasting Room @ Wolf Creek Brewery
25108 Rye Canyon Loop
Valencia, CA 91355
When should I be there?
The event begins at 6:00pm sharp. So arrive as close to that as possible! We’ll have some live entertainment starting about 6:30 and be there until the food and/or beer runs out (ok, we’re done by 10, so not that late). Best options for food will be early, so don’t be (too) late!
What should I bring?
Bring a delicious home cooked dish! Entree, appetizer, dessert. Whatever appeals to you! A good rule of thumb is to at least bring enough for your group, and then double that. So if there are four in your family coming, bring at least eight servings. Don’t let that limit you. Bring 2 dishes, 3 even.
Does it have to be home cooked?
Foodie Fest is about home cooks and what we do for our friends and family. We certainly understand that things catch fire, or time runs out, so nobody will be turned away. All we ask is do your best and share something that touches your heart.
Do I need to bring any utensils or paper goods or anything?
We will provide paper plates, napkins, and plastic-ware (knives, forks, spoons, etc.). We do ask that you bring your own appropriate serving equipment, so if you’re bringing a salad, some tongs, or a casserole a good spoon, etc.
I have allergies. How will I know what I can eat?
We will have cards that we ask everyone to label their dish with which will include markings for common allergens (nuts, gluten, etc). Nothing takes place of your own judgement and caution however, so please if you’re worried, stick with what you can readily identify as safe for your particular dietary needs.
I just want to talk someone.
We get it. Everyone needs someone to talk to now and then. We’re here to help! No, seriously, just give us a call at (818) 796-FOOD and we’ll be happy to talk with you and answer your questions. Or email us firstname.lastname@example.org. Either way, we’ll chat.
