Cuvée Elevates To A Higher (Under)Ground

undergrounds

It’s been just about a year since Cuvée shuttered in what was called a temporary closure after an alleged pipe burst and overnight flood.  Since then, many rumors have surfaced as to what was happening with the space at the eastern end Bridgeport Marketplace on Newhall Ranch Road that seems to have a hard time holding down a tenant or a format.

Finally the next tenant has revealed themselves to be… a neighbor.

Undergrounds Coffeehouse, resident caffeine supplier to the congregants at Real Life Church has decided to come above ground and take over the space.  Our sources tell us they’re not just taking over the space formerly occupied by Sake Chop House Cuvée, but the whole building which formerly held a frozen yogurt shop and pâtisserie of sorts.  Undergrounds prides themselves on being a volunteer-run, donation funded space that not only provides locally roasted, organic coffee, but also provides a venue for local artists.  In addtion, Undergrounds hosts weekly coffee cupping events (tasting for the uninitiated) to help people new to coffee to make introductions with the different varieties of beans, roasts and preparations.  With the new, expanded space, we’re likely to see expansions of their programs including live music and perhaps even expanded hours.
