For the past few weeks, people have been asking me if I knew anything about The Glow Spot Cafe, and I kept brushing it off as a hookah bar. I don’t know where I got that idea! It is most definitely NOT a hookah bar! In reality it is a nice little neighborhood cafe in Saugus with smoothies, crepes, sandwiches, and it is also kid friendly!
The Glow Spot Cafe is a family owned business that should be expanding in the future. They are in the process of building out next door to add an event space for parties, including karaoke! How fun! For now, they offer up a full cafe menu. On this particular day, they had a homemade chicken soup on special which was so good! It was perfect on this cold day!
Their panini selection offers up something for every craving. I had the pastrami which was topped with a homemade salsa topping. I don’t even like tomatoes, but let me just say, it was the perfect touch and I ate it all. The side salad also had a really great flavorful dressing.
They also offer a variety of smoothies! My favorite!
And, of course I couldn’t leave without trying a crepe! They are made to order, and they are HUGE! They have sweet and savory options available. I had the strawberry banana and they didn’t skimp on the fruit at all!
The Glow Spot Cafe is a nice addition to the neighborhood. I liked everything that I had, and while the menu has a variety of options, I recommend the paninis and the crepes. As I mentioned earlier, it is kid friendly, and they have a nice sized kids menu to explore. It is a simple neighborhood spot, nothing fancy, and I’m excited to see how the expansion works out.
The Glow Spot Cafe is located at 22880 Copper Hill Drive in Saugus (in the former Sam’s Flaming Grill space).
